Christian Castelli has declared his intentions to vie for the 6th congressional district seat in North Carolina in 2024, following recent modifications to the state’s congressional districts. Castelli emphasized the need for “decisive conservative leadership” and expressed his concerns over the House’s recent inefficiency, referencing a period when there was no Speaker of the House for over three weeks. Drawing from his extensive background, Castelli highlighted his deployments as a Green Beret on 14 occasions and his tenure as a senior advisor at the Pentagon, asserting that facing and resolving challenges is integral to his character. While acknowledging the value of congressional and elective office experience, Castelli argues that what’s essential now is “real-world, real-life experience” to navigate the nation towards security, prosperity, and strength. Notably, his announcement comes on the heels of former 6th district representative Mark Walker’s surprising shift from a gubernatorial race back to contending for his old congressional seat, which is presently occupied by Democrat Kathy Manning.
